The Honorable Thomas Burke was the third surviving son of the 9th Earl of Clanricard and the brother of Lady Laetitia Burke. He was granted administration of his father's estate on the 16th November, 1734 and died in July, 1763. Unlike certain members of his family, he seems to have remained a Catholic, for there is in the National Museum a chalice inscribed: 'The gift of the Honorable Thomas Burke for the parishes of Killcooly & Kilrikel Anno Dom. LXXI. ... O'Sullivan v 2 p 11.
