No person named Edmond has been found in the MacDermott Roe family, but there is no satisfactory pedigree. We learn from Arthur O'Neill's memoirs that a harper named Ned MacDermott Roe attended the second and third Genard Balls (1782 - 1785 ) ; but he was born too late for Carolan's period.
