Malone Family Crest
In the absence of the Christian name, the subject of this tune cannot be identified. The tune may have been composed for Richard Malone of Baronston which is on the shores of Lough Iron Co. Westmeath. He had a son Anthony who became a Protestant, but 'He was a Catholic at heart and had strong Catholic sympathies'. He was a leading Dublin lawyer and became chancellor of the Irish Exchequer. 'He held a number of Catholic estates in trust and was universally honoured and respected.'
